A CONNECTED PLACE
Getting here is easy, by rail, air, road and even sea.
We’re connected to the West Coast mainline and Trans Pennine rail networks, to international destinations via our own Liverpool John Lennon Airport and we’re a short drive to the motorway network. And of course, as a famous port, we’re connected to the island of Ireland and Isle of Mann by Ferries.
Getting around within the City Region is quick, easy with affordable by bus, rail and ferry.
Our Merseyrail network is consistently the UK’s top rated rail network for punctuality and customer satisfaction. And with a £500m brand-new fleet of trains about to take to the rails.
And there’s nowhere else on earth that can you enjoy your commute on the world-famous Mersey Ferries!
Alongside this, we’re also building a 600km cycling network, to make it safer to cycle around the region and a 212km new ultrafast broadband network as we aim to be the most digitally connected region in the country.
